Last UpdatedJuly 26, 2024

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account and using the TeachFlow web application (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Subscriptions, Payments, and Termination

Our Service is offered under various subscription plans ("Plans"), including a free trial. By selecting a paid Plan, you agree to pay the fees associated with that Plan. All payments are processed through our third-party payment processor, Paystack.

  • Fees: All fees are non-refundable.
  • Subscription Term: Your subscription will remain active for the duration of the billing cycle you select (e.g., monthly, annually).
  • Expiration: If your subscription expires and is not renewed, your access to certain features may be restricted or your account may be locked until a valid subscription is active. We reserve the right to delete data from expired or inactive accounts after a reasonable period of notice.
  • Termination: We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to the Service or other users.

4. Content Ownership and Responsibility

  • Your Content: You retain full ownership of all the school data, student information, grades, and other content you upload or create within the Service ("Your Content").
  • Our License to You: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal school management purposes, according to your subscription plan.
  • Your License to Us: By using the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating, providing, and improving the Service.

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service utilizes artificial intelligence to generate content such as report card comments, lesson notes, and exam questions ("AI Content").

  • User Responsibility: While we strive for accuracy and relevance, we do not guarantee that AI Content will be error-free or perfectly suitable for every educational context. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and validating all AI Content before using it in any official capacity.
  • No Guarantees: We are not liable for any inaccuracies, omissions, or inappropriate content generated by the AI. The final responsibility for all educational materials rests with you, the educator.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • Using the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it.
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or computer systems or networks connected to the Service.
  • Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or disassembling any part of the Service.
  • Using any automated system, including "bots" or "scrapers," to access the Service for any purpose without our express written permission.
  • Uploading or transmitting viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the operation or availability of the Service, or the information, content, or materials included therein. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall TeachFlow, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the user's country of residence, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
